Double Exposure
The title of my artwork is “Disenchanted”. It is an 8” x 10” double exposure artwork. The creator of this piece is Bailey Brown. I used Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and my self-portrait was taken with a Sony Nex-5 camera. I used many layers that included blending, lighting adjustments, masks, and other tools. I got my photos from Photos for Class and textures.com.
In my artwork I took images that were powerful and made you feel the since of someone being mad. I took my image and but almost like a dead/burnt tree branches crawling up my face and then I placed and masked it to wear it fit my face to make it look like it was actually a part of my face. I used the mask and took out where it didn’t go past my right eye. I then took flames different types of flames and put them together and put a blend mode on top of them so they looked like they were one big flame and made it look like it was coming from the top of my head and going down to the trees.
The trees represent being locked in. Almost as if the branches are holding me down. And the Fire and the flames represent pain and mad emotion. My facial expression represents the hurt that was brought to me.
The reason I named my artwork Disenchanted is because the definition of Disenchanted is disappointed by someone or something previously respected or admired; disillusioned.
I feel like my work was somewhat a success. I feel like the memories that were coming back to me made me shutdown and not really want to put much effort into it. I know that it should bring the opposite out of me but there is so much pain that is still attached to the memories that I honestly just wanted it to be over.

My favorite Video Game
Out of all the games I played from the class last semester, this was my favorite. I really enjoyed this game because it was difficult but it wasn't to hard. It explained how to do everything very well. I loved the theme of the game and how the different levels were different so it didn't seem like you were just doing the same thing over and over again. I really enjoyed it and couldn't stop playing! All the definitions were covered well and I learned a lot just by playing!
